North Tripura alerted as Japanese Encephalitis spreading in Assam

Agartala, July 10,2019 : Health Department has taken special measures to prevent all possibility of spreading of Japanese Encephalitis in all habitations along Assam border as the killer disease has created havoc in the neighbouring state. 

The North district Health Department circulated special instructions to all the health establishments along the Assam border to undertake massive blood test exercise to see if there is presence of any Japanese Encephalitis. Massive blood test operation is already on as part of anti-Malaria drive. Now the health workers are testing Japanese Encephalitis too.
Japanese Encephalitis is playing havoc in various districts of Assam for last few days and it has already claimed 53 lives and another 203 are reported suffering.

 Himanta Biswa Sharma, health minister of Assam, has already announced various programs to prevent the dieses and leave of all the health department officials has been cancelled
