Madrassa teacher died in electrocution

Agartala, September 11, 2019: In a tragic incident on the holy day of Muḥarram, one Madrassa teacher electrocuted, when he was busy with connection with a water pump at his pond for pumping out the pand water and died on the spot at Kalagangerpar village under Kadamtal police station.

Police said deceased Madrassa teacher, Allauddin Ahmed, a teacher of Kathalthali Senior Madrassa had came his native house at Kalagangerpar village to observe the Muharram with his family.

Allauddin Ahmed, a father four daughters and a son, when on Tuesday morning tried to pump the pond water through electric water pump, accidentally touched electric transmission line and electrocuted.

Later, few neighbours noticed that Allauddin Ahmed was lying unconsciously in the bank of pond and informed the matter to other inmates of his house. Immediately, he was rescued and shifted at Kadamtala primary health centre, where visiting doctor declared him brought dead.

After the tragic death of Madrassa teacher, a shock wave gripped the entire village and marred religious spirit of Muharram.
