House owners must inform police about tenants

Agartala, Oct. 10, 2019: The district police authority has exhorted to those owners of houses who have tenant(s) in their premises to inform about the local police station or outpost in prescribed form to avoid any legal complication in future.

In a notice, the Superintendent of Police (SP), West has said it has come to the notice of district police that a number of criminals are operating from rented accommodations/ premises at new place taking advantage of their anonymity in the area.

"The general public are hereby requested that if they have rented out any accommodation/premises, the particular of tenants may please be given to the local police station/outposts in the prescribed form", it said in the notice.  

The form could be downloaded from "This is necessary to avoid any legal complications in future if your tenant is found to be involved in any criminal or anti social activity not giving elaborate", it added.
