CM meets Rubber Board, Spices Board representatives in Kerala

Agartala, Feb 17: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today had a meeting with representatives of Rubber Board and Spices Board in Kerala's Chavakkad.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister had extensive talks with the representatives of Rubber Board and Spices Board on the doubling of farmers' income in the state.

The Chief Minister was in Kerala to attend a party programme.

At a programme of Tripura Forest Development Corporation (TFDC) at Rabindra Bhavan, the Chief Minister strongly advocated for growth in rubber industry. He underlined need to increase rubber production with high quality to excel its full potential.

In his speech, Deb also exhorted the authority of TFDC to adopt modern techniques like proper tapping and setting up smoke houses to ensure benefit of the rubber growers.

Keeping all aspects in mind, the Chief Minister's meeting with the representatives of Rubber Board and Spices Board is seen as important and strategic.
