Agartala May 16 ,2019 : The chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has condemned the poll-related violence in West Bengal and 'anarchic rule' of Trinamool . He also expressed satisfaction over the election commission’s decision to remove two senior officials , Atri Bhattacharjee and Rajiv Kumar ,from poll duties and preponing of last date for vocal campaigning . 'This decision, though belated , is positive and will restore the confidence of people in the election commission as well as in the polling process’ said Deb in an interaction with the media in BJP state headquarter at Krishna Nagar in Agartala. He said that his party had welcomed the decisions of the election commission in regard to Tripura and the repoll held on May 12 was smooth and peaceful but in West Bengal much more was desired by the people.

Deb said that West Bengal was reeling under the 'misrule and anarchy' of Trinamool headed by the chief minister Mamata Banerjee and said that state's economy and culture were being destroyed by Mamata's misrule and 'Goonda gardi'. He said that hundreds of BJP workers had been brutally murdered by 'goons' of Trinamool in Wet Bengal and the people there were looking for a change because even the administration was dancing to the tune of Trinamool. 'But we hope there will be a change in West Bengal in the loksabha election and BJP will secure more than 23 seats' said Biplab. He also denounced the attack on party’s all India president Amit Shah's road show in Calcutta and breaking of the statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar by the ‘goons’ of Trinamool.
